Once the hook was in place, the automation script grabbed window.as.el, muted it, slammed the playback rate to 16 (can’t go faster since that is the maximum supported by browsers), and sat back as the browser frantically decoded and fed chunks into the collection array. At some point I realized I could run tests forever. And I had already done that last year, and wrote it up in blog posts (one and two). Doing it again here didn’t seem especially valuable.
